Glg Great Wall Buffet in Bay City

The buffet is quite expansive, including American, Chinese, grill, and desserts. Our server handled a huge group very well. Negative points, greasy floor and bathroom closed for cleaning.

Always great food, always great staff. Restaurant is always clean. Buffett is always stocked and hot with the freshest of foods. Great place to bring the family with an assortment of American and Chinese foods. Definitely recommend for a nice date or a big family gathering. I will definitely be going again!!! Keep up the good work.

I really enjoyed the food here. They serve classic American style Chinese food...but it's good. The food variety at the buffet is pretty darn good. I was very happy to find that the seating and tables were clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful.I recommend this for a good sitdown restaurant to take a date or a small family.

I have never had any bad experiences from here, as some others have posted. Every time I have gone in the food is fresh and I have seen them many times changing out trays nearly empty with full fresh trays so nothing ever runs out. Food has always been good and the price is reasonable, especially for take out buffet.

They have finally opened up for carry out orders! Me and my family got so excited and will definitely going back for more ... they reconstructed the entrance for the safety of customers and themselves !

This is my first time leaving a bad review. But I took the family to dinner there the other night. We got home and I didnt feel good.... fell asleep not for long (30 min) and woke vomiting, this continued all night long. Then the following day and night I had a bad headache and sour stomach still. There was tags on some of the food that says (dinner only) and I didnt think about it. We were there for dinner. But now I ponder the thought of how long does this food sit out??

Lots of really good dishes. Good variety, kids will enjoy. Nice to see two familiar faces from Chens! Buffet clean and well stocked. Love the Salmon and found the fried zucchini! Yum. Hard not to like, so much to try.

5 Stars because ya'll were open on Christmas Day and everything was enjoyable! More veggies on salad bar tho please (tomatoes, onions, e.t.c)!

Food was cold. Food was also very old tasting. In addition, All of the silverware and cups we were given were dirty. Our drinks had particles floating all over. Also service is non-existent. WILL NEVER EST HERE AGAIN.

Some Items were a little cold, but we did come in between Lunch and Dinner, so this was expected. All was still very good for the price and you always can have a made to order plate they cook on the grill for you, that comes out hot.

I don't get how people don't love this place. It has such great food and when their buffet opens again, I am going to go there endlessly. It is very affordable for the amount of food you get. The food taste great too! I love this place, the workers are extremely kind too.

This is the worst place I have ever been to in the state. Food was cold.every plate I picked up was dirty. There was old food floating in my drink. I will never come here again when I am in bay city

We are visiting here from Wisconsin and decided to stop to eat some Chinese food. I have to say The Old Great Wall is by far the best we have ever had! So much to choose from and excellent service!

Went for lunch today with my boyfriend and his best friend and wasn’t impressed at all!! There was a lot of hair on my boyfriends chicken and his best friends fortune cookie was already opened and was missing pieces out of it! I used to love eating here it was like an every Friday night thing. They’ve began to suck! And I’m more than likely never ever going back! 😡🤬

So far theyve got social distance serving. Still amazing for 9$ take out. Will keep going

Most of the food is great. A few things are bland like the mac and cheese but its to be expected. My boyfriend loves the frog legs. Staff is somewhat standoffish but we always eat here

I went here for takeout on my lunch break. As I was walking around deciding what I wanted I saw the sushi and put some in my container. as I was doing this an employee came over practically putting her nose in my container and walked away. I turned a little then I saw the sign that read SUSHI FOR DINE IN ONLY. I looked over apologetically to the employee and she snubbed me. I finished getting my food walked to the counter and explained that I missed the tiny sign that sushi is for dine in only and offered to pay the difference from takeout to dine in as I go there often on my lunches. They insisted to see what I had in my container that they gave me when I first walked in and said JUST DONT DO IT AGAIN. They were very rude. I understand that there was a sign but for one I am 5"1 and the sign was above my head. And two I offered to pay the difference. Today they lost a customer because for now on I will go downtown for Chinese and to Fusion 1 for sushi.

Food has always been pretty good. Would like to see breaded cooked shrimp though. Also, Jenny is the best server! Great young lady 👍😀

Some kid threw up everywhere, it was gross. Also the service sucked toes and my Japanese chicken was grey. Pepsi was good though. I would've gave it 1 star but that pepsi.... Oh boy.

Been going here for a long time with my boyfriend, recently food has been cold and stale every single time we go and two out of the past 4 times we have gone, i have gotten food poisoning. Not safe. Just go somewhere else. The cold, bland food is NOT worth the hell you will pay afterwards

The food is typical buffet food and tastes good. But, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Rusting and crumbling stalls, overflowing urinal that overfills pee water and just runs to a drain, dirty and unkempt toilets. Immediately lost my appetite and felt like I needed HAZMAT to put me through decontamination upon exiting the restroom.

My girls love to come here when they are more than hungry, sadly the dine is closed currently. But they have a pick 3 buffet special which can feed the family well still. Thanks for continuing a great service even through the events of life.

It's well known that their food is greasy but delicious - and part of the blame lies with the pandemic but instead of limiting the number of people inside they chose to limit the menu; bad call. I was craving it for months but their atrocious menu options made me go to blossoms instead. To be fair, when they open their buffet I will be back...and THEN I will give them 4 stars ✌️🙃

Place is a run down, filthy mess! Just look at the blinds from the outside, if u dont believe me. Food was ice cold on a buffet table when brought to managements attention she had the nerve to tell me to stir it if its that cold, excuse me i dont work here. Then told my bf he shouldn't come to a buffet if he has expectations like that. The only thing offered to correct the situation was 10% off the bill. I didnt even eat $2 worth of food, it was so cold n she (manager) was so rude i lost my appetite. Never again n never again for anyone i know!

Food was ok to good it's a little odd with the covid 19 setup at a buffet lol. After 5 months had to have some real Chinese food

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I dont know if the locals know what good Chinese food is or if the restaurant had a bad day.Food was cold and flavorless. We are out of towners, 3hrs here for an event and will not be back to that restaurant. I had to put a star otherwise my review wasnt accepted. Doesnt deserve the one star I was forced to put.
